Carowinds opened March 29 for the 2014 season. The park is just 15 minutes south of Charlotte off I-77 on the North Carolina-South Carolina boarder. New for this year are 2 water slides, the dorsal Fin Drop and the Surfer’s Swell. Also new is the new dining hall Harmony Hall Marketplace with 500 seats and an open food court.
