The NC fall foliage 2013 show is well under way. The northern mountains in the Linville and Blowing Rock areas are awash in red, yellow and gold colors. A trip in the area this week should be nice. Mount Mitchell is past peak. The southern mountains in the Franklin and Cashiers area are at a lower elevation and will peak in the next 7-10 days.
